Overall I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the sequel. Had I not personally met Julia by chance on a business trip to CO, I might have never known about this book and would have missed out on a good read, so I am grateful. It was a little difficult keeping some of the characters straight in the beginning but things came together in the end. The only negative comment I have is there were a large number of writing and/or editing errors I felt should have been caught (such as writing “she” for “he”, or a space missing between two words). I hope the sequel is as exciting, and that the editing errors are eliminated, but most importantly that it is not “to be continued” again!

Fabulous! The story draws you in and won’t let go! Julia brings the fantasy and magick of the past into an amazing modern day tale. I read extensively in many genre’s and can highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good book! Can hardly wait for the finale! Julia - Keep up the great work!

A friend sent me the book last year and once started, I couldn't put it down. Excellent portrayal of characters. Well written and captivating, right down to the "to be continued". Julia, you've done a great job! Can't wait for the sequel.

Julia creates and captures a world that I never imagined. Filled with characters from every myth you could ever imagine. Each character she gives depth and excellence in an inimitable way. She will make you laugh, hate, and love all within 460 pages. Only to have to scream and toss the book down at the "to be continued" on the last page. I loved this book and recommend it to any reader. Great work Julia and I can't wait for the next one!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed "Past Sins" and am looking forward to the sequel. I've read a lot of fantasy and science fiction and really appreciate the novelty, humor, and texture you've created.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It did take me a while to get all the characters straight, but they were well described and compelling. I particuliarly enjoyed the flashback type sections. Fantasy is not usually my pick - I'm usually reading mysteries - but I am glad that I chose to try this book. I especially look forward to the continuation! That is my only complaint. I want to know NOW what happens next!

This was a book that was very hard for me to put down. The author is very talented in the way she brought the story to life. She made it so your imagination had taken you into all the places in the story. I can't wait to read more from her.
